In almost all cases, you can hire a lawyer free of charge after an accident. The costs will then be paid by the liable party. This is often an insurer of the car, scooter, employer, etc.

Some examples where you can be sure that you will receive compensation:

Children under the age of 14 who are hit by a car, motorcycle, scooter, tram, etc. while walking or cycling will always be compensated for their personal injury, even if it is the child’s own fault.

Children over the age of 14 (and also adults) who are hit by a car, motorcycle, scooter, tram, etc. while walking or cycling will receive at least 50% compensation for the personal injury, even if the victim is (partly) at fault.

If you drive a lease car, it is in principle covered by Passenger Damage Insurance (SVI). This covers your personal injury even if you caused the accident yourself.

In principle, passengers in a (truck) car or on a scooter/moped will always be compensated for their personal injury.

If you have been bitten by a horse, dog, goat or other animal, you will often be largely compensated for your damage or even in full.

If you have been injured at work, we can hold the employer liable for your personal injury under the law. Think of accidents on the construction site, in a supermarket, etc.

If a child intentionally causes injury to another child or adult, the parents are liable. This is covered by the parents’ insurance.
